Interior Corking - Part Two

So after the first coat was applied, we waiting a few days for it to dry, then we sanded it down, so that the second coat adheres better. Here's Randy from Innovative Cork in action:

Things I love about this product:

  • all natural with no chemicals (Randy doesn't even need a mask to apply it)

  • environmentally friendly with EXCELLENT indoor air quality

  • provides thermal barrier for both heat and cold (my heating and cooling bills will be minimal)

  • 100% breathable (as is my insulation, so my entire house can "breathe" both ways)

  • sound dampening (can barely hear anything outside, and it's not even done yet)

  • fire retardant

  • super low maintenance (like me...hehe!)

  • lightweight (and with using fir for everything, I need to save on weight everywhere I can)

  • looks amazing!

Now that the second coat is done, we sanded it down also to have a smoother finish, and I started taking the masking off the windows and floor - it's looking more and more like a home! Because we sanded the second coat, it will need to be painted, so that's next on the docket.

I know I've said it a zillion times, but a big thanks goes out to Randy from Innovative Cork! I've had a vision for this project in my mind for years, and through guidance, expert advice, and patience (lots of patience!), Randy has helped transform this vision into reality. I'm so thrilled with the product and with Innovative Cork, and I cannot recommend them enough! Don't hesitate to contact Innovative Cork for your project - you won't be disappointed!

People have asked which colours Innovative Cork offer. Here are their standard colours, but they also make custom colours. I chose Gun Metal for the exterior and Extra White for the interior.
